Happy (phenomenal) Friday!!! Today on the blog is Maybelline Color Show Drops of Jade, from the new Polka Dots collection.
Drops of Jade is a sheer blue green jelly that builds up quite nicely. It’s not as self leveling as Pretty in Polka, nor is it as sheer.
The glitter is well suspended throughout the polish and disperses easily. No fishing needed!
Pictured above is two coats with one coat of Rimmel Cocktail Colour Cutie Colada sandwiched in between for shimmer. I added two coats of Gelous and one coat of Seche Vite to smooth out the glitters. However, this one was not that gritty.
Drops of Jade is one of five colors from the Maybelline Polka Dots collection. The collection consists of four sheer, but buildable jellies, and one black and white glitter polish. I found this at Walgreens. These are buy one, get one half off about every other week.
Pictured above is Rimmel Cocktail Color Cutie Colada for reference. Cutie Colada is an incredibly sheer lime green shimmer. Not quite what I expected it to be, but I’ll take it anyway. It is sandwiched above between two coats of Drops of Jade.
I wasn’t sure if the warmth of the lime clashed with the coolness of the jade, but it’s grown on me.
Rimmel Cocktail Colour polishes are limited edition and can be found at Walgreens for $1.99.Pin It
