Deborah Lippmann Edge of Glory is a black creme. Nothing spectacular. It was a little watery, but not unmanageable. My brush was a little wonky. Pictured above is two coats with no topcoat. It dries nice and shiny.

Deborah Lippmann Edge of Glory 3D Holographic Topcoat isn’t really a holographic topcoat. It’s a flakie topcoat!!! But that’s okay. It’s gorgeous with predominantly red and blue flakes that flash orange, gold, and green at the right angle. Pictured above is two coats of flakies.
I found the 3D Holographic Topcoat to be really, really thick, kind of like really gloopy Seche Vite, or almost dry Elmer’s Glue. I shook it up a bit, but it didn’t seem to help much. I would have thinned it, but unfortunately do not have any polish thinner on hand at the moment.
Not sure if it is because of the thickness or what, but these flakies don’t dry completely smoothly, even with one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri.
This set is now on sale for $29 at Barneys and is exclusive to Barneys as it was a part of the Lady Gaga Workshop.

That’s very pretty! I always appreciate your honest reviews about formula since that’s important to me when buying polish, sometimes even more so than color!

You do such a great manicure! I am just learning and I’m scared to do black/super dark colors because it can get so messy.

So pretty! I’m really debating on this, especially since it’s on sale and I want a good black. So I’m thinking this may be a skipped, or worth getting despite the gloopy formula?
